Washington County 4-H cannot thank volunteers enough. They are a key component to what 4-H is all about in creating partnerships between caring adults and youth. Wednesday, March 19, the 4-H County Council thanked volunteers with a 4-H Volunteer Appreciation Supper.
This event was sponsored by the 4-H County Council who provided a hot beef sundae and desserts to a variety of 4-H volunteers ranging from Extension Council members to 4-H youth committee members to 4-H club leaders. The supper was held in conjunction with the spring 4-H leaders training at the Extension Office.
?This dinner is important because as 4-H'ers we need to give back and do something special for the people who helped make us the leaders we are today,? shared volunteer appreciation co-chairman and county council member Kaitlin Hora. ?I'm glad I was able to be a part of the dinner and be able to show the leaders how much we really do care about them and the time and energy they have spent on us.?
