With less than two weeks until the Washington County Fair, 4-H members, Clover Kids, leaders and volunteers are busy getting ready. One unique event to the Washington County Fair is the Clover Kid sheep mentoring program.
This class pairs a third grade Clover Kid with a 4-H sheep showman. They meet several times before the fair at the 4-H?ers farm getting to know each other while the 4-Her mentors the younger member about the sheep species.
The Clover Kids then get to show their mentors lamb in the show ring at the Clover Kid Sheep Show. This show is immediately following the 4-H Sheep Show on Tuesday, July 18 and is the perfect example of the partnerships that happen in 4-H.
