4-H Fall Fair, 5K planned for National 4-H Week
4-H staff, county council and youth committee members are coordinating a fun, fall Saturday morning full of events on the Washington County Fairgrounds Saturday, Oct. 4, to celebrate National 4-H Week.
4-H Members, non-members, and all families are welcome to join the fun of fall crafts, snacks, and games out and about on the fairgrounds.

4-H staff, county council and youth committee members are coordinating a fun, fall Saturday morning full of events on the Washington County Fairgrounds Saturday, Oct. 4, to celebrate National 4-H Week.
4-H Members, non-members, and all families are welcome to join the fun of fall crafts, snacks, and games out and about on the fairgrounds.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. for the kids? 100-meter Flash Dash events. One-hundred meter fun runs will be held for age division 2- to 3-year-olds, 4- to 5-year-olds, and Clover Kids (in kindergarten through third grade). Each participant will receive a ribbon. Registration fee is a canned food item. Root beer floats and kids? games will be held from 9 to 10 a.m.
At 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, local community members, runners, walkers, 4-H?ers, friends, family, alumni and volunteers will hit the Washington County fairgrounds running and walking for fun and health. The course will be mainly flat, beginning and ending at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
Entry fee for the one-mile will be at a reduced rate if postmarked by Sept. 17. Entry fee for the 5K will also be at a reduced rate if postmarked by Sept. 17. Long-sleeve T-shirts are guaranteed for those entering by Sept 17. Race-day entrants will be given T-shirts on first-come, first-serve basis. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Extension Office.
