4-H photos flood the Washington County Fairgrounds
Jul. 14, 2021 6:06 pm
More than 120 photos were mounted by almost 30 4-H members on Tuesday, July 13 as part of their county fair project preparation. A special photo mounting day is held each year for all 4-H youth enrolled in photography to select mat board, size photos and mount their projects for judging day.
These photos and more will hit the fairgrounds Saturday, July 17 for non-livestock judging.
Jodi Ebert, Photography Assistant Superintendent, said, “We had the perfect amount of volunteers and some really good photos come across the tables today. We’re anxious to see all the other photos on Saturday.”
The photo exhibits will be on display starting Sunday, July 18 at 6 p.m. in the upper level of Dallmeyer Hall. All other 4-H exhibits will be located on the lower level. The exhibits can be viewed Sunday 6–9 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Washington County 4-H volunteers and senior members were available at photo mounting day to offer assistance. 4-H’ers had a variety of color choices in selecting mat board that would best accent their photo. 4-H’er Morgyn Bruty and her mom, Nicole Bruty, worked together through the process to mat five photos for judging on Saturday.
