4-H Poultry Workshop held

On Saturday, April 9, chickens and more gathered at the Washington County Fairgrounds to listen to poultry superintendents Donnie and Ruchel Hiller share some basics on poultry care. The 4-H Poultry Workshop filled the room with youth and parents who wanted to learn more about the poultry project area.

They covered basic health, showmanship tips, how to prepare for chicks and how to select poultry for purchase. Door prizes were given to 4-H?ers in attendance sponsored by Ace-N-More. Beth Bennett and Mickey Blum from Professional Proteins also shared information on feed and nutrition.
