4-H Poultry workshop held

Saturday afternoon chickens and more gathered at the Washington County Fairgrounds to listen to poultry superintendents Donnie and Ruchel Hiller share some basics on poultry care. The 4-H Poultry Workshop filled the room with youth and parents who wanted to learn more about the poultry project area.

They covered basic health, how to prepare for chicks, how to select poultry for purchase and the veterinary feed directive. Participants all built egg candlers to take home. Door prizes were given to 4-H?ers in attendance sponsored by Premier 1 Supplies
