4-H Poultry workshop to be held

4-H and FFA members involved in the poultry project are invited to attend a free poultry workshop on Saturday, April 8, 9:30 ? 11:30 a.m., at the Washington County Extension office.

Topics will include basic feed and nutrition, basic health and care, how to prepare and care for chicks, and veterinary feed directive. All participants will also build their own egg candler to take home and no cost. The poultry superintendents will be present to answer questions and discuss any changes for the 2017 county fair. Both beginning poultry and veteran poultry exhibitors are invited to attend. Parents are encouraged to attend. All age groups are encouraged to bring questions.
