4-H Senior Feature

Makenzi Marek is the daughter of Tim and Heather Marek, of Riverside. Her siblings are Lexi, Macy and Leah.

She attended Washington High School and participated in the Jackson Jets 4-H club.

Her 4-H projects included: photography, food and nutrition, home improvement, market goats, bucket bottle calf, swine, breeding heifers and steers.

Her 4-H activities included serving on the County Countil sophomore year and being a member of the ELITE team.

Makenzi?s favorite 4-H memory was being involved in the 4-H Conference because of the fun activities she participated in and the lifelong friends she met.

?I learned leadership skills and tons of new skills,? she said, ?and it is a great opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills.?

Her future plans are to attend Iowa State University to major in fashion design.
