Roman?s special memory was staying up until 3 a.m. in the morning talking with other junior camp counselors.
?In 4-H I learned skills that I will use throughout my life and that I didn?t learn in high school,? Roman said. ?These skills include interviews, bookkeeping, goal-setting and time management. These skills I acquired throughout my 4-H career and are why I think everyone should join 4-H.?
Besides 4-H, Roman also participated in National Honor Society, was vicepresident of student council and a World Food Prize scholar.
His future plans are to attend Iowa State University to major in global resource systems and horticulture.
