Bell's memory and highlight included being at the fair when the tornado came through, and being a reserve champion.
"Highlights for me are having Reserve Champion for Bucket-Bottle Calf and receiving an award from the 134th Family Readiness Group for my project on a combat medic soldier during the Afghanistan War."
Others should join 4-H because they can learn from their experience and teach others, he said.
"Others should join 4-H because not only do you learn new things, you have the opportunity to teach others what you've learned by giving presentations and doing projects of your choice," Bell said. "You definitely get out of 4-H what you put into it."
Bell's other activities besides 4-H included: FFA, football, track, basketball and St. James Youth Group.
His future plans are to attend Iowa State University's College of Engineering.
