Ryan Chalupa is the son of Nate and Anne Chalupa.
His siblings are Erin, Jace and Izzi.
He attends Keota High School and participates in the 76 Progressives 4-H Club.
Chalupa's projects include: market beef, bucket bottle calf, breeding calf and market swine.
His 4-H activities include: serving as treasurer of the county council, club president, helping with bowing parties, highway cleanup, skating parties, nursing home visits and as a fair volunteer.
Chalupa's favorite 4-H memory/highlight was winning the Rate of Gain and Carcass Contest several years after lots of hard work and determination, and the club bowling parties.
"In 4-H I learned how to set goals and work to achieve them," Chalupa said. "I have learned a lot about beef production and how to raise productive cattle. Others should join 4-H because it will give them endless opportunities to meet new people and have may fun new experiences like it did for me."
Other activities Chalupa is involved in includes: National Honor Society, speech, FFA, youth group, Silver Cord, class officer and D.A.R.E. role model.
His future plans are to attend Iowa State University to study ag business and animal science.
