His special 4-H memory/highlight was being a part of County Council.
"Becoming a part of County Council has benefited me in so many ways," Keiffer said. "I have been joyfully overwhelmed with the opportunities that I have experienced. Now, as president, I will uphold the responsibilities of the organization."
"Others should join 4-H because you develop a sense of leadership and responsibility, not only to yourself, but to your club and community," Keiffer added. "You learn with other members and develop friendships and connections that help for years to come."
His other activities include: National Honor Society, student council, Highland Band, American Legion Boys State, Hills Bank Leadership Youth Salute and Highland cross-country and track.
His future plans include attending Western Illinois University and running cross country and distance track. He will major in animal science and plant genetics.
