Madeline Leichty is the daughter of Deon and Jo Leichty.
She attends Iowa Mennonite School and participates in Crooked Creek 4-H Club.
Her projects include goats, breeding heifer, cow/calf, non-livestock projects including baking, photography, art and home improvement.
Leichty's other 4-H activity was the skating party.
Her special member/highlight was hanging out with friends in the barns at the fair, winning Junior Food Award her first year and winning dog showmanship one year.
"In 4-H I learned how to work with others and to take responsibilities," Leichty says. "Others should join 4-H because you meet others and it's always fun to meet new people."
Her other activities include FFA, choir and being the girls' basketball manager.
Her future plans are to have a GAP year with MCC or go to Bethany Global University to become a missionary.
