Washington County 4-H honors its senior leaders who are making a difference in their community. Today the spotlight shines on Anna Nafziger.

School: Mid-Prairie
4-H Club: Limecreek Limelights
Projects: Sheep, Communication, Photography, Food & Nutrition, Cattle, Home Improvement, Self-Determined
4-H Activities: Club level activities, ELITE/County Council, Youth Conference, Livestock Judging
Special 4-H memory/highlight: While 4-H brings many memories from being involved in livestock projects to static projects and other groups. My favorite memory is meeting new people. I have made multiple friendships through 4-H with people from around the county to other states. These are friendships that have helped me grow through 4-H.
“Others should join 4-H because it offers many opportunities to learn new skills, and life lessons,” Nafziger said. “I have met many new people and made memories that I will always remember. The 4-H community is always supportive, and I have always enjoyed representing Washington county 4-H.”
Future plans: Attend Iowa State University and major in Ag Business.
