Washington County 4-H salutes the seniors in the club who are making a difference in their community. This week, the organization honors Bailey Sieren.

Club: Dutch Creek Flyers
Projects: Market Beef, Breeding Beef, communications, woodworking, photography.
Activities: county council, leadership development, spring preview cattle show, junior camp, state 4-H conference, livestock judging, little hands on farm, day camps, President of Dutch Creek Flyers, roller skating, dodgeball tourney, hay bale decorating.
Other activities: FFA, NHS, Student Council, Speech, WorldLink Ambassador Program, football cheerleading, basketball, cross country, volleyball, dance team, youth group.
What I learned in 4-H: “4-H taught me responsibility, followed through with my goals, and obtained a good work ethic. Through 4-H, I learned leadership by helping with camps and other activities. Lastly, I learned appreciation, especially to my county extension and county council for all their guidance and the opportunities in 4-H in our county, and a big thank you to my parents, and grandparents for their love and support through my years in 4-H.”
4-H highlights: Beating my cousin Taylor’s dodgeball team, and the dances at State 4-H conference.
Future Plans: Attend Iowa State University for Agricultural In Society with a minor in Marketing and Advertising.
