4-H Senior Feature - Ben Schneider

Ben Schneider is the son of Mark and Garnette Schneider.

He attends Mid-Prairie High School.

He is a member of the Franklin Cubs.

His 4-H projects include: poultry and photography.

Schneider's other 4-H activities included volunteering at the fair and the fall hay rack ride.

His special memory/highlight during his time in 4-H was winning the 2010 Rooster Crowing Contest.

Schneider said 4-H has taught him communication skills and encouraged him to self-advocate.

"These skills are essential to succeed in the modern world and 4-H provides the perfect basis to practice them," Schneider said.

Schneider is also a four-year Silver Cord participant at his high school.

His future plans are to attend Iowa State University to study computer engineering.
