Special 4-H memory/highlight: I remember my first year in 4-H and the big water fight we had at the end of the week and hanging out in the barn with friends.
What I learned in 4-H: Being a nine-year member, 4-H grew my leadership and communication skills. I gave 4-H presentations at the club, county, and state level, which allowed me to gain confidence when speaking in front of a crowd. My livestock projects allowed me to learn so much about caring and feeding animals. I met many friends and great adults, which has been so special. I think youth should join 4-H as it offers many opportunities to develop skills that they can use forever.
Other Activities: Mid-Prairie FFA, Golden Hawk Trap Shooting, Archery
Future plans: I plan to attend Kirkwood Community College this fall, and I'm enrolled in the Diesel Agriculture Technology Program. I look forward to being involved in Agriculture in the future.
