4-H Club: 76 Progressives
Projects: Market beef, breeding beef and swine
4-H Activities: Club officer, County Council, Day Camp helper, showing beef at the county level and pigs at both county and state.
Special 4-H memory/highlight: 'Having Ellie Bell flip me for County Council introductions at 4-H Awards Night.”
What I learned in 4-H:
'In joining 4-H I have learned many different skills, such as confidence, knowledge of agriculture, leadership skills, work ethic, good sportsmanship and how to manage money,” says Lauren. 'Many of these skills that I have learned will not only help me now but they will help me in the future as well. 4-H is a great opportunity to learn new skills.”
Other Activities: FFA secretary and helping at junior high sporting events.
Future plans: Attend Iowa State University majoring in elementary education.
