4-H Senior Feature: Shauna Sublette

Washington County 4-H seeks to honor the group’s senior members by shining the spotlight on each one as they near the end of their 4-H journey. Today the spotlight shines on Shauna Sublette.

4-H Club: Highlanders 4-H Club

Projects: Photography, Rabbits, Chickens, Produce, Surprise Design

4-H Activities: Showing rabbits, being a clover kid rabbit mentor, bringing photography and exhibits to the fair

Special 4-H memory/highlight: Agreeing to play mud volleyball with a team of boys and getting out the first round!

What I learned in 4-H: “Through 4-H, I have learned what it means to give back to the community. I have learned an endless amount of leadership and communication skills that I am grateful for.”

Other Activities: FBLA, NHS, Yearbook, Volleyball, Track

Future plans: Attend Iowa State University majoring in Elementary Education
