4-H Winter Project Extravaganza open for registration

The goal of the Washington County 4-H Project Extravaganza days are to give 4-H members a variety of options for hands-on learning, experiencing, creating and fun with other 4-H members under leadership of community businesses, experts, and volunteers.
Depending on details of each workshop, majority are open to any 4-H members 4th grade and older. Each participant brings in heir own level of experiences and is able to apply that to these project areas. Check them out and get registered today!
Online preregistration is required by Nov. 28 at 8 a.m. Limited space is available for some workshops and filled on a first come, first serve basis. Registration links for each workshop are available in the descriptions below. The fees for service will be used to offset direct expenses and to support the Washington County 4-H Youth Development Program. Notice each workshop has the same low fee of $10 this year thanks to generous to support from the Great Big 4-H Lucky Clover Raffle proceeds.
Introduction to Welding at Kirkwood Regional Center in Washington Participants will learn about the welding lab, basic safety and weld techniques. They will create their own snowflake, 4-H stand and horse shoe snowman. Participants must be 5-12th grade 4-H members. This workshop will be led by Kirkwood instructor. $10 fee. Surprise & Delight is a floral arrangement workshop led by Wolf Floral of Washington. Paticipants will pick up kits that include supplies to make four mini arrangements with cards to deliver to others as a special surprise and delete. A YouTube link tutorial on mini arrangements will be emailed to those participants to follow along at home. Open to kindergarten-12th grade members. Cost $10. Winter Wreaths Inspired by popular winter greenery, participants will learn floral design to create a one-foot sized winter wreath project. They will learn about stem care and wreath mechanics from Morgan Hibbs of Farmhouse Flowers. Cost $10. Open to 4th-12th grade 4-H members. Workshop is hosted Dec. 3, 9 a.m. -10:30 a.m. in the upstairs meeting room of Dallmeyer Hall. Register at https://tinyurl.com/4hwreath22
Paint with Paige Participants will create an 8’ x 10’ winter tractor scene on canvas. They will learn basic shadowing, how to paint snow and pattern creation on canvas. Open to 5th-12th grade 4-H members. $10 fee. Dec. 3, 10:30 a.m.-noon at Dallmeyer Hall basement. Register at https://tinyurl.com/4hpaint22
Colorful Nail Knowledge Learn and practice applying and removing creative Color Street Nails. Kim Farrell will teach tips and tricks to Color Street as well as the importance of nail care. Participants will leave with 2 sets of nails. $10 fee. Workshop is Dec. 3 from 9am-10:30 a.m. in the basement of Dallmeyer Hall. Register at https://tinyurl.com/4hnails22
Youth are encouraged to participate and learn through these hands-on experiences to boost knowledge and spark new project interests while having a good time, creating, and building upon skills.
