4-H?ers were in the Christmas spirit at the 4-H Project Extravaganza Christmas in a Cup Workshop Saturday, Dec. 3, where they learned about floral design. Each participant brought a holiday mug, while Laura Bombei of Wolf Floral supplied the seasonal fresh flowers, greenery and Christmas goodies. This workshop taught the basics of floral design. Participants commented they were surprised how many pieces go into one arrangement and how long it does take. They also gathered dried flowers from around the fairgrounds, learned how to best preserve and arrange those as well.
Participants included Zoey Dennler, Brynn Younge, Jade Sheetz, Ellie Farmer, Kyleigh Dolan, Jenna Messer, Sierra Gillis, and instructors Laura Bombei and assistant Gracie Greiner.
The 4-H Project Extravaganza was designed to offer several unique hands-on learning opportunities through a variety of workshops partnered on one day. Another similar day has been set for March 18.
