4-H'ers preparations well underway
The chicks are here, which means fair is near! The Washington County Extension Office housed 156 chicks this past week for the standardized production broiler class. 4-H?ers enrolled in this class purchase and raise a dozen chicks and then bring the three most similar and best in weight to compete at the fair in July. These chicks were hatched and delivered to 4-H?ers within a 24 hour time frame.

Washington County 4-H?ers, club leaders, volunteers and Extension staff are busy preparing for the Washington County Fair with project preparations, livestock workouts, and registration deadlines.
