Approximately 50 people from several churches gathered Wednesday evening to place 135 crosses in the front lawn of Immanual Lutheran Church and kick-off the ?40 Days for Life? fall campaign. The crosses represent 135 babies who die every hour through abortion. ?40 Days for Life? began in Texas in 2004 and is now international in scope. The goal is to offer alternatives to abortion to those who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy, as well as prayer and hope for those who may have already been through the abortion process.
