The end of the Fall 40 Days for Life campaign is nearing.
As of day 29 of the campaign, 359 lives of unborn children have been reportedly saved from abortion.
Word of Life Lutheran Church will be open from noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday next week for silent prayer.
Nov. 4, after the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Word of Life, a chili lunch will be served and a short program will be given providing information about the pro-life cause. At the close of the program, everyone is encouraged to go to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairfield and remove the 135 white crosses that have been displayed since Sept. 26. The 135 white crosses represent the number of lives lost to abortion every hour in the United States.
Local pro-life believers ask for continued prayers, fasting and reaching out in love to anyone maybe facing an unplanned pregnancy.
