60th anniversary celebrated

On Sunday, May 28, Phil and Sally Leyden celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter Jolynn hora. The event was hosted by their children: Tony, Beth, Matt, Jolynn, and Theresa. The couple have 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Phil Leyden and Sally Bruty were married on May 18, 1957, at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. James Grubb officiating in Washington.

Special guests from out of town were aunts of Phil: Mrs. Patti Messer and husband Karl, and Dorothy Garmo.

Surprise guests from out of state were sisters and families of Sally: Mary Jane Gilmore, Mrs. Peggy Gebhardt and husband Frank, daughters Denise, Meg, Michelle, and Jennifer, and Sue Wortheimer and granddaughter Bridgett Wortheimer.
