Absentee voting for the Nov. 8, Washington County general election will begin on Sept. 29. Voters who want to vote by absentee ballot may do so in person at the Washington County Auditor?s Office before Tuesday, November 8. Absentee voting for the Nov. 8, Washington County general election will begin on Sept. 29. Voters who want to vote by absentee ballot may do so in person at the Washington County Auditor?s Office before Tuesday, November 8. Auditor?s Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays; 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5; and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7.
Alternatively, a ballot can be mailed to a voter if they fill out and submit a request form. The ballot request form may be obtained from the Washington County Auditor?s Office or the following websites: co.washington.ia.us or sos.iowa.gov. Requests for absentee ballots may be delivered or mailed to the Washington County Auditor, 222 West Main Street, Box 889, Washington, IA 52353, and must be received in the Auditor?s Office no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.
