Absentee ballots ready for Mid-Prairie bond vote
Absentee ballots are now available for the April 1, 2014 special election to be held in the Mid-Prairie Community School District (whether to approve $10,640,000 General Obligation Bonds). Voters who want to vote by absentee ballot may do so in person at the Washington County Auditor?s Office until 5 p.m. on Monday, March 31. Auditor?s Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 28, and Monday, March 31.
Alternatively, a ballot can be mailed to a voter upon the voter?s written request. The ballot request form may be obtained from the Washington County Auditor?s Office or downloaded from the following Web site: http://co.washington.ia.us. Requests for absentee ballots may be delivered or mailed to the Washington County Auditor, 222 W. Main St., Box 889, Washington, IA 52353, and must be received in the Auditor?s Office no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, March 28.
