Activities set for Van Buren homecoming
KEOSAUQUA ? The Van Buren Community School District will celebrate its homecoming week beginning Monday.
The high school has planned a special theme for each day next week.
The theme for Monday will be Twin Day.
Tuesday?s theme will be Outlaw/Camo Day.
Wednesday?s theme will be Formal/Dress Up Day, which coincides with school pictures being taken.

KEOSAUQUA ? The Van Buren Community School District will celebrate its homecoming week beginning Monday.
The high school has planned a special theme for each day next week.
The theme for Monday will be Twin Day.
Tuesday?s theme will be Outlaw/Camo Day.
Wednesday?s theme will be Formal/Dress Up Day, which coincides with school pictures being taken.
Thursday?s theme is Dress Like Someone Famous. A pep assembly, with grilled hot dogs, and a bonfire in the high school?s gravel parking lot is planned Thursday.
The theme for Sept. 28 is Warrior Pride Day, with several homecoming events planned in the afternoon. Street decoration is set for 1 p.m.; Powder Puff football starts at 1:15 p.m., followed by Powder Puff volleyball starting at 2 p.m. Students will line up for the parade at 2:45 p.m. to make their way to downtown Keosauqua for a 3 p.m. pep assembly at the public library.
The Music Boosters will host a tailgate supper at 5 p.m. at the Van Buren High School football field. The homecoming king and queen will be crowned at 6:30 p.m., and the varsity football game against Highland will kickoff at 7 p.m. The homecoming dance will be from 9 p.m. to midnight in the high school gym.
