Adrian family reunion held

Descendants of John P. and Catherine Adrian (Redlinger) met for a noon meal on Oct. 18, 2015, at Mother Cabrini Church hall in Richland.

The late John P. and Catherine Adrian (Redlinger) lived in rural Harper, near Clear Creek, just one-fourth of a mile east of Ss. Peter and Paul Church. They had four sons, Howard, Lawrence, Clarance, and Leonard, and one daughter, Marget (McArtor).

Those attending the reunion had gathered in the memory of these early family members, to reconnect and share old times and to meet new members.

A total of 28 people attended.

Descendants of Howard Adrian were: Jerry and Bonnie Adrian, and John and Jan Adrian of Richland, Howard Adrian Jr. and Deb, and Judy Dickey and Dave of Packwood. Janis Weber of Keota was hostess of the event. Clarance Adrian was killed in a farm tractor accident and was never married.

Leonard H. Adrian and Gertrude Nash had six children, including: Jim and Lynette of Washington and their son Jason and his daughter Ryan and son Stanley of Cedar Rapids; Bob Adrian and his daughter Amy Green, with her daughter Adrian and son Jackson Green; and Linda Wilson and husband Dean and their daughters, Jennifer Young and Jerry and their daughters, and Barbara Wilson of Lone Tree.

No one could exactly remember when the last reunion was held, but all agreed it had been about 20 years. It was decided to have another reunion next year, preferably in the summer, as a larger number of family members are farmers.
