In response to concern about the African Children's Choir coming to Ainsworth, organizers have received the following:
The children in the choir have been in the United States since the end of August, well past the 21-day incubation period. They are all from Uganda, which is about 4,000 miles away from the outbreak location in Western Africa. Prior to leaving Uganda for the U.S., they went through medical tests and were granted visas to enter. They haven?t been exposed to the Ebola virus and are all healthy and happy.
The choir will perform in the Ainsworth school gym at 7 p.m. Friday. The children range in age from 7 to 11.
