Agriculture Safety Day to be held
The Washington County Extension Office will again host their annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day. The camp will be held on Thursday, June 2, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds. There is a fee per child, which includes a T-shirt, goody bag, snacks, and safety information. The Washington County Extension Office will again host their annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day. The camp will be held on Thursday, June 2, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds. There is a fee per child, which includes a T-shirt, goody bag, snacks, and safety information. All youth who have completed kindergarten to third-grade are encouraged to attend. Parents are welcome to attend as well. Youth will need to bring a sack lunch.
Highlights of the day include a variety of safety topics including: sun safety, water safety, electrical safety, bike safety, ATV safety, PTO safety, equipment safety and much more. Participants will be able to test their knowledge of farm safety, their own reaction times in an emergency, and learn how to be safer in their communities.
