AGRICULTURE: Women in Ag course begins April 9 in Fairfield

A Women in Ag course, 'Heartbeat of the Farm: Human Resource Management, ”is set to start April 9 at the Jefferson County ISU Extension office.

The four-session course is designed to give women strategies for effectively working with family and employees.

Classes are 6-9 p.m. April 9, 16, 23 and 30. A meal is served at 5:30 p.m.

Women will become more knowledgeable on effective strategies to manage human resources in the areas of employee supply, recruitment and law; family and farm business communication; employee supervision and retention; and health, stress and well-being.

The course is taught in the tradition of Annie's Project and incorporates a comfortable and supportive learning environment.

The cost is $75.
