Ainsworth American Legion Post to hold service
The James Harlan Thoma Post No. 351 of the American Legion will hold its annual Memorial Day ceremony on May 25. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the Ainsworth School gym and conclude with a salute to fallen comrades in the Oregon Township Cemetery.

The James Harlan Thoma Post No. 351 of the American Legion will hold its annual Memorial Day ceremony on May 25. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the Ainsworth School gym and conclude with a salute to fallen comrades in the Oregon Township Cemetery.
The featured speaker will be Cheyenne Cuddeback-Miller. She has a lifelong interest in military history and has co-authored two books on local World War II veterans and will share some of their stories.
In case of inclement weather, the entire ceremony will be held in the gym.
All veterans and volunteers are invited to help Legion members put up the flags in the cemetery beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 23.
