Ainsworth Sacha Club awards scholarships

Thirteen members of the Sacha Club of Ainsworth attended the May 22, 2023 meeting at the home of Ann Freyenberger.

The Easter Egg Hunt report was given by Karen Megchelsen. The hunt was held at Marr Park on April 8. Approximately 95 children attended. They enjoyed the photo booth with the Easter Bunny, tattoo booth and the egg hunt in the park. Refreshments were provided by the members.

The annual scholarship committee report was given by Rachel Carstensen. There were five applicants. Three scholarships of $800 each were awarded to: Jenna Waters, Katelyn Waters, and Kate Hartzler. Rachel presented these scholarships at the Senior Awards Night held at Highland High School on May 17, 2023.

Jolene Colthurst prepared and issued the program sign-up sheets for next year starting in September 2023. Members began signing up for monthly hostess, monthly program, and annual committees.

Popular Dairy Mart ice cream treats were provided by hostess, Ann Freyenberger.

The next meeting will be Sept. 23, 2023.
