Ainsworth Sacha Club meets

Seven members of the Ainsworth Sacha Club attended the September meeting at the Ainsworth Community Church. Brenda Bean, president, called the meeting to order. Four new members were introduced: Jenny Gerot, Teresa Hazelett, Jeanna Gerot and Emily Piette.

Brenda Bean reported the Highland Elementary will be hosting a Book Fair on either Oct. 5 or October 12th from 3-7 pm at the Riverside Elementary School. She request volunteers to help with this event. Rocky Roberts and Teresa Hazelett volunteered to help from 3-7 pm on October 5th. Members volunteering for October 12th: Rocky Roberts 3-7 pm, Jenny Gerot 5-6 pm and Jeanna Gerot 6-7 pm. Brenda will keep these members updated on final plans.

Marr Park is hosting the Annual Halloween Hike on Saturday, October 22nd. They need cookies for this event. The following members will each provide 2 dozen cookies: Linda Lord, Linda McNeil, Karen Megchelsen, Kathi Bean, Brenda Bean, Emily Piette, Rocky Roberts and Jenny Gerot. Cookies can be delivered to the Conservation Center on Friday, Oct. 21 or the morning of Oct. 22.

The program and hostess signup sheet for 2022-2023 was issued by Brenda Bean. Jolene Colthurst and Brenda Bean will get it printed. Sacha bylaws were reviewed by the members and updated.

Sacha Annual Craft Show will be Saturday Nov. 5 at the Highland Middle School. Brenda Bean is contacting vendors, and several are signed up. Our club cookie sale was discussed. It was decided each member will provide three dozen cookies. We will meet at the church on Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. to do cookie decorating. This will replace our October meeting.
