Ainsworth School Reunion held
The Ainsworth School Reunion met for its 86th annual banquet over Memorial Weekend at the Ainsworth Opera House. Eighty people were in attendance. After the social hour, Opera House volunteers served the meal prepared by John's Shamrock. As is tradition at the banquet, the meal is followed by pie. The pieces of pie are actively traded before the meal.

The Ainsworth School Reunion met for its 86th annual banquet over Memorial Weekend at the Ainsworth Opera House. Eighty people were in attendance. After the social hour, Opera House volunteers served the meal prepared by John's Shamrock. As is tradition at the banquet, the meal is followed by pie. The pieces of pie are actively traded before the meal.
The first graduating class at Ainsworth High School was in 1879. The last class to graduate in Ainsworth was in 1965. The last class recognized at the reunion is the Class of 1966, which attended three years in Ainsworth, but graduated from the then new Highland building. The roll of classes is sounded, with each person speaking. Letters are read from those not attending.
Wanda Jones Skubal of Washington, from the Class of 1936, is thought to be the first member of an 80-year class to attend an Ainsworth banquet. She attended with her daughter Connie Schnoebelen and son Ed Skubal, also Ainsworth graduates, and granddaughter Shanna Skubal. Mary Louise Meeks of Washington, member of the 75-year class, attended with her son Lewis, who is a member of the 50-year class.
Michael Zahs emceed the event and has been in charge of the Ainsworth School Reunion for over 40 years.
