1) If you were to give the education you received during high school a letter grade, what letter grade would you give it? Why?
If I were to grade the education I received from Pekin, I would give it an A because the teachers are very caring and are willing to help a student one- on-one if they're struggling. I received a great, well-rounded education during my time at Pekin.
2) What do you regard as the strengths of your education?
I believe the strengths of my education are my ability to focus well during class and the extra work I put in outside of class to make sure I understand what I'm learning. Additionally, my education has led me to feel very confident in my math and science abilities.
3) What do you regard as the weaknesses of your education?
I think the biggest weakness of my education is that I procrastinate until the last minute to finish my work.
4) What are some of your fondest high school memories?
My favorite high school memory is playing at Principal Park on the first Pekin baseball team to make it to state. Another one of my favorite memories from high school was when my basketball team became back-to-back conference champions for the first time in school history.
5) What instructor has had the most influence on your education?
Mr. Deutsch has had the largest impact on me because he showed me the meaning of hard work by working towards his master's while continuing to teach his classes.
6) Who are your role models? Why?
My role model is my brother, Keaton Winn, because he is the hardest worker I know. If he sets his mind on a goal, he will not stop until he has achieved or surpassed his goal.
7) What advice do you have to offer to incoming freshmen?
I would tell them to not slack off in school, because time will catch up faster than they think.
8) If you could start high school again, what changes would you make?
I would have never started procrastinating, because trying to get all my homework done in crunch-time led me to spend less time doing the things I wanted to be doing.
