Kee Kee Buckley is an author, filmmaker, on-camera personality, keynote speaker, and rock band manager. She will be at the American Gothic House Center to talk about her new book and sign copies on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. as part of Eldon’s Holiday Hop events. Her equally famous husband, Eric Troyer, is a keyboardist, singer, songwriter, and is a founding member of ELO Part II. He wrote a song for his wife’s book, Seeking Shama: Me, My Dog, and the Road to Inner Peace, and will perform it at the Center. Apparently, Kee Kee lived in the house at one time with her friend who is known as the Pie Lady, Beth Howard.
The annual children’s event will be from 2:00-3:30 p.m. inside the American Gothic House.
We are shaking things up a little for this annual event. This FREE children’s Gingerbread “House” Party will include crafts and carnival-style games! Event will be held inside the American Gothic House and all supplies will be provided. Activities include build a cardboard gingerbread house, make an ornament, pin the tail on the reindeer, and nutcracker ring toss while supplies last. Best part? Participants may take photos with Santa in front of an American Gothic House winter scene! No preregistration is required. This is a come-and-go-as-you-please event.
