Post 29, American Legion, met at its regular session with Ron Brock commanding. Adjutant Jim Peterson reported on finances and membership and displayed many thank-you cards which the post has received for services performed, and flags the post has presented to elementary school students.

First District Commander Alvin Miller spoke on membership and reminded members of the conference to be held in Mt. Pleasant next weekend.

The post will again provide stocking caps and gloves to patients at the VA this coming winter.

The program was provided by Tonnie Crile, showing a DVD taken about 10 years ago during his civilian contract work in Iraq as a truck driver.

Veterans are encouraged to attend meetings as guests or prospective members. Meetings are held at the Blair House on the second Tuesday of the month.
