Post 29 American Legion met at its regular time with Ron Brock commanding. Adjutant Jim Peterson reported on membership and finances.
The post is sending Cale Rausch to Boys State in June at Camp Dodge for leadership training.
Lonny Milligan, fundraising chair, reported that the post planned to deliver flowers for Valentine?s Day for a local florist. He also outlined activities that the post will be involved in this coming summer.
Bob Kennedy reminded members that there would be the annual Mid-Winter Conference held in Des Moines.
The post will be receiving recognition for the financial contribution made to the Legacy Fund. This fund provides college education for children who have lost a parent while in active service.
Dan McClure urged members to become more involved with the House of Heroes either as workers or board members. Contact either him or Russ Parker.
Veterans are invited to attend meetings held the second Tuesday evening at the Blair house as guests or prospective members.
