Post 29 American Legion met at its regular time with Wayne Brock Commanding. Jim Peterson, Adjutant, reported on finances and dues renewal.

Post 29 American Legion met at its regular time with Wayne Brock Commanding. Jim Peterson, Adjutant, reported on finances and dues renewal.
The post has provided a flag and flagpole for the new Kirkwood college facility. New member Matthew Dohlman was welcomed. Mike Sypherd announced that the Sons of American Legion will provide a booth at the County Fair to hopefully attract members into the Legion family. Lonny Milligan announced that the flags which were given to elementary students were well received with several thank-you notes presented. A work night will be forthcoming to clean and rearrange the food booth at the auction barn.
New officers were installed as follows: Commander, Ron Brock; first Vice Commander, Wayne Kaufman; Adjutant, Jim Peterson; Service Officer and Honor Guard Captain, Mike Worley; and Sergeant-at-arms, Tonnie Crile.
Veterans of any branch of service are welcomed to attend meetings held at the Blair House the second Tuesday at 7 p.m.
