Post 29 American Legion met at its regular date with Ron Brock commanding. A report regarding finances and membership was given by Jim Peterson, Adjutant. Reports were heard on the recent Memorial day activities which included programs at the UP and Halcyon homes, flag raising at the Post Office, programs at the Crooked creek bridge and the High School which approximately 400 people attended. There were 864 flags given to grade school students. Lonny Milligan reminded us of the upcoming cruise night on June 13 and the auction June 15 at which the food stand will be in operation.
Veterans are invited to attend meetings as guests and prospective members each second Tuesday evening of the month at the Blair House.
