American Legion Post sends two students to state
The members of the James Harlan Thoma American Legion Post No. 351 in Ainsworth have chosen Bryanna Evans to attend Iowa Girls State. She is the daughter of Jeff and Sheila Evans of Wayland and is a junior at Highland Community High School.
Iowa Girls State will be held June 14 to June 19 on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames.

The members of the James Harlan Thoma American Legion Post No. 351 in Ainsworth have chosen Bryanna Evans to attend Iowa Girls State. She is the daughter of Jeff and Sheila Evans of Wayland and is a junior at Highland Community High School.
Iowa Girls State will be held June 14 to June 19 on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames.
Iowa Girls State is a learn-by-doing program sponsored by the Iowa American Legion Auxiliary. Over the course of the week, the young women will learn about the political process by participating in campaigns, elections and appointed positions in city, county and state governments.
Keiffer Sexton, son of Lyle and Stephanie Sexton of Ainsworth, has been selected by the members of James Harlan Thoma American Legion Post No. 351 to attend Hawkeye Boys State. He is a junior at Highland Community High School.
Hawkeye Boys State is a hands-on program sponsored by the Iowa American Legion. It is designed to teach young men all facets of city, county and state government.
Hawkeye Boys State will be held June 14 to June 19 at Camp Dodge in Johnston.
