Matthew F. Ancell has been promoted to the rank of master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
Ancell is an instrument and flight control systems instructor assigned to the 628th Air Base Wing at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C. The new master sergeant has served in the military for 14 years.

Ancell is an instrument and flight control systems instructor assigned to the 628th Air Base Wing at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C. The new master sergeant has served in the military for 14 years.
He is the son of Shari Bond of Wayland and Frank Ancell of Muscatine. He is the grandson of Richard Boyd of Ottumwa and Joanne Ancell of Fairfield.
Ancell received an associate of science in 2011 and 2013, both from the Community College of the Air Force, Joint Base Charleston, S.C.
