RICHLAND ? William ?Bill? Anderson of Richland has received the Iowa Lions Foundation Warren Coleman Honorary Award in recognition for his commitment to serving Lionism.
The award is named for longtime executive secretary-treasurer Warren Coleman, who has given freely his time and dedication to the Iowa Lions Foundation and the programs it supports. The award is conferred on those who demonstrate community service and is made possible by a contribution of $1,000 to the Iowa Lions Foundation.
Anderson is a member of the Richland Lions Club. He recently received a plaque and lapel pin acknowledging his humanitarian service.
Anderson became an Iowa Lion in 1962 when he moved to Richland and is now a 50-year member. He has been secretary of the Richland club for the past 12 years. He is active in community affairs, a former city clerk and retired from the Pekin Community School District.
