Annual Lions Club awards

The Washington Lions Club held their annual Awards presentation. Awards were resented to the following people.

A significant cash memorial was given to the club on behalf of Don Siegle.

Melvin Jones Fellowship Award – Jane Kruse

Warren Coleman Award – Bruce Campbell

Warren Coleman Award – Scott Day III

Lion of the Year – JoAnne Worley

Community Service Award – Fran Langenburg

International Presidential Certificate – Jodi Ebert

The Melvin Jones Fellowship represents a contribution of $1,000 to the Lions Clubs International Foundation. Each Warren Coleman Award represents a contribution of $1,000 to the Iowa Lions Foundation.

The Lion of the Year is awarded to a member who has contributed Outstanding Service for the local Lions Club.

The Community Service Award was presented to someone who has done a great service for members of the community.

The International Presidential Certificate is signed by International Lions President Gudrun Yngvadottir of Finland and is the 4th highest award a Lions member can receive.
