The Iowa City Noon Kiwanis Club will host its 31st annual Antique Show and Benefit on Friday, Feb. 24, and Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Johnson County Fairgrounds. Show hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The price of admission is valid for both days, and children age 14 and younger are admitted free.
The fairgrounds is located one-half mile south of the Iowa City airport on Riverside Drive, or one-fourth mile north of Exit 89 from Highway 218/27. Building C is located at the southwest corner of the fairgrounds.
Plenty of free parking is available, and a food booth will offer sandwiches, pastries and beverages.
More than 30 dealers will offer antique furniture, stained glass, quilts, jewelry, stoneware, advertising items, ephemera, postcards, Hawkeye collectables, sterling and silver items, china and glassware, primitives, clocks, textiles, country antiques, and much more.
Proceeds from the show support Kiwanis Club projects, including a college scholarship for outstanding Iowa City high school students and other community needs that benefit children and young people. The show has been the club?s major fundraiser since 1986. More than 1,500 people attend the show each year.
