N/A
Nov. 5, 2019 12:00 am
Join local archaeologist Stan Plum on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m., in the Library Meeting Room for a presentation about Fairfield's role in the Underground Railroad, and the secret routes and safe houses that helped African American slaves escape to freedom in the early to mid 1800s.
Learn about key players in the local organization, and about the current work being done with the National Park Service to acknowledge Fairfield's role in the Network of Freedom. To accommodate larger-than-usual attendance, the Fairfield Public Library has agreed to host this Carnegie Museum program.
