Area blood donors give generously
The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center mobile drew the following amounts of donated blood around the area this month:
29 units Monday at the Prairie View United Methodist Church, Ollie.
42 units Oct. 14 at the Jefferson County Health Center, Professional Clinics.
20 units Oct. 13 at Maharishi University of Management.
38 units Oct. 11 at Jefferson County Activities Center.

Persons can donate blood every eight weeks. One pint of blood can help save the lives of up to three people. One out of every five people entering the hospital will need blood products.
