Area blood drive scheduled

Southeast Iowa Blood Center has announced one upcoming area blood drive.

SunnyBrook Living Care Center will sponsor a blood drive from 2:30-6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 in the nursing home?s lobby, located at 400 Highland St.

To schedule appointments, call Judy Qualters at (641) 209-1612. Walk-in donors are welcome.

Eligible donors last gave blood before July 20.

Each donor at the blood drive will be entered into a drawing for a $20 gift card.

Donors must be at least 16 years old, in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. Photo identification or blood donor card is required to donate; 16-year-old donors must present a signed parental consent form each time they donate, available from blood center offices. Controlled high blood pressure and diabetics are acceptable.
